Sinta Ika Tan
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇩 Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia
- The Medan Repairs
- 1981 to 1989
- English, Indonesian
I've worked in pottery from 1981 to 1989. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 190 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I garden badly but happily.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Sinta
If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
What gifts mean to Sinta: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.

You fixed our roof in 2015 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Riyadh.
