I've worked in bicycle repair from 1988 to 2001. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 750 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
