Silvia W. Ortiz
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 San Diego, California, United States
- The Redwood Shop
- 2016 to 2024
- English
I'm a thatching specialist. If you live around San Diego, there's a good chance I've worked in a building near you.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Silvia
If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
What gifts mean to Silvia: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.

You fixed our roof in 2024 and charged half what others asked! Greetings from Belo Horizonte.
