I came to teaching late, after working as an accountant, and 40 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Silas
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Silas: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
