I've coached volleyball at Nottingham Stonebridge Community Club since 1980. Most of my players were between 11 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answer every email, even at midnight.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

If you played for me, you probably remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.

What gifts mean to Silas: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
