I coached table tennis at London Football Club from 1978 to 1992. Most of my players were between 10 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

If you played for me, you probably remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.
