I coached volleyball at Sapporo Sports Club from 1979 to 2010. Most of my players were between 12 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I garden badly but happily.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

What gifts mean to Shota: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
