For 22 years I ran the boxing program at Karachi Liberty Sports Club in Karachi. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answered every email, even at midnight.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Shaista
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Shaista: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
