Sevgi Hülya Bayram
Master of bicycle repair, now teaching apprentices
- 🇹🇷 Istanbul, Istanbul, Türkiye
- Old Istanbul Workshop
- Since 1999
- English
I've worked in bicycle repair since 1999. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 1,220 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave.
More about Sevgi
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Sevgi: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
