Mehmet Kerem Aktaş
Master of weaving, now teaching apprentices
- 🇹🇷 Istanbul, Istanbul, Türkiye
- 1979 to 1990
- English, Turkish
I've worked in weaving from 1979 to 1990. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 410 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I garden badly but happily.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
What gifts mean to Mehmet: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
