Serenity Obrien
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States
- Unity Trades Guild
- 1986 to 2019
- English
I've worked in blacksmithing from 1986 to 2019. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 1,650 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 22 years later for another job.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Serenity: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
