Saoirse Byrne
Professor of statistics, Silverlake College
- 🇮🇪 Kilkenny, Leinster, Ireland
- Silverlake College
- 2015 to 2025
- English
My subject is statistics, and for ten years I got to share it with undergraduates at Silverlake College.
I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk. It sounds small, but students remember small things.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Saoirse
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
Fields
What gifts mean to Saoirse: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
