Samuel Barasa Byaruhanga

Coached basketball for eight years in Dar es Salaam

  • 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Dar es Salaam Youth Club
  • 2011 to 2019
  • English, Swahili
For eight years I ran the basketball program at Dar es Salaam Youth Club in Dar es Salaam. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I played music while people worked.

More about Samuel

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Samuel: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
