Ruth Birtukan Hagos
Mentor in first-generation students and design
- 🇪🇹 Adama, Oromia, Ethiopia
- Sakura Community Trust
- 1982 to 2001
- English, Amharic
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 680 people through Sakura Community Trust.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
More about Ruth
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
