I've spent 47 years as a lecturer in astronomy at Niterói Polytechnic in Niterói. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I garden badly but happily.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Ronaldo
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Ronaldo: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
