I've spent 39 years as a lecturer in philosophy at Lille University in Lille. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a bus driver and in a dozen other fields. It is the best part of this job.
What gifts mean to Romane: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
