I coached boxing at Rosewood Swimming Club from 1986 to 1996. Most of my players were between 9 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

You coached me in 1990. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Bonny.
