Raymond C. McCoy
Painting and decorating, done properly
- 🇺🇸 Columbus, Georgia, United States
- Columbus Shop
- 1979 to 2002
- English
My trade is painting and decorating. I opened my own shop in 1979 in Columbus and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Raymond
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

What gifts mean to Raymond: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
