Ratna Rina Surya
Traditional drumming and oud teacher
- 🇮🇩 Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia
- Ashford Orchestra
- 2012 to 2024
- English, Indonesian
I've played traditional drumming from 2012 to 2024, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 10 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I'm always reading two books at once.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Ratna
I wrote my first song when I was 22. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Ratna: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
