Rasika Ishara Wickramasinghe
35 years teaching chemistry in Colombo
- 🇱🇰 Colombo, Western, Sri Lanka
- Colombo Public School
- 1985 to 2004
- English, Sinhala
I came to teaching late, after working as an accountant, and 19 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I learned every name in the first week.
More about Rasika
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Rasika: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me chemistry in 2014 at Colombo Public School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam

A small gift is a big thank-you.
