Rashidi Odhiambo Lyimo
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇹🇿 Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Little Harbor Workshop
- Since 1985
- English, Swahili
I've worked in painting and decorating since 1985. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 1,680 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 18 years later for another job.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Rashidi
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
