Rashid Zakaria Wahba
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇪🇬 Cairo, Cairo, Egypt
- Ashford Works
- Since 2006
- English, Arabic, French
My trade is thatching. I opened my own shop in 2006 in Cairo and I'm still there most mornings.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Rashid
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
