Ramesh T. Walia

Local leatherwork and baking

  • 🇺🇸 Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States
  • The Bowling Green Workshop
  • Since 1986
  • English, Hindi
I've worked in leatherwork since 1986. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 1,280 apprentices. Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave.

More about Ramesh

Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

Crafts and trades

What gifts mean to Ramesh: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
