I spent 27 years as a lecturer in anthropology at Baobab College in Feira de Santana. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Rafael
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.

What gifts mean to Rafael: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
