Qiang Guo Lu
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 Nashville, Tennessee, United States
- Little Riverside Trades Guild
- 1990 to 2012
- English, Mandarin
I've worked in thatching from 1990 to 2012. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 840 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I like to keep things simple and honest.
More about Qiang
If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
What gifts mean to Qiang: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
