I've spent eight years as a lecturer in mathematics at Kharkiv College in Kharkiv. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I answer every email, even at midnight. It sounds small, but students remember small things.
More about Prof. Zakharov
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Prof. Zakharov: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
