My subject is linguistics, and for 38 years I get to share it with undergraduates at Ciudad de México University.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
