I've spent 21 years as a lecturer in modern history at San Cristóbal de las Casas College in San Cristóbal de las Casas. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a farmhand and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
More about Prof. González
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Prof. González: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
