I coached cross country at Pretoria Sports Club from 1979 to 2008. Most of my players were between 9 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I played music while people worked.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Pravin
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
