Pilar Herrera
First-generation students mentor, Alcalá de Henares
- 🇪🇸 Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, Spain
- Lincoln Foundation
- 1987 to 2012
- Spanish
For 25 years I've mentored people in first-generation students and writing. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Pilar: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
