I coached martial arts at Mangaluru Athletic Club from 1990 to 2012. Most of my players were between 11 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
