For 32 years I have been the English literature teacher at Istanbul Secondary School. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Özlem
If you were in my mixed-ability classes class, you probably remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.

What gifts mean to Özlem: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
