Óscar C. Treviño
Master of upholstery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇲🇽 Oaxaca de Juárez, Oaxaca, Mexico
- Old Oaxaca de Juárez Works
- 2016 to 2025
- Spanish
My trade is upholstery. I opened my own shop in 2016 in Oaxaca de Juárez and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I like to keep things simple and honest.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Óscar: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
