My trade is pottery. I opened my own shop in 1982 in Newcastle and I'm still there most mornings.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

What gifts mean to Omar: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
