Olivia R. Mthembu
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇿🇦 Sandton, Gauteng, South Africa
- Old Sandton Works
- Since 1991
- English, Afrikaans, Spanish
My trade is pottery. I opened my own shop in 1991 in Sandton and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I try to remember everyone's name.
More about Olivia
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Olivia: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
