I've coached cross country at Albuquerque Youth Club since 1980. Most of my players were between 9 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

What gifts mean to Oliver: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
