Ochieng Bakari Urassa
Brass band and jazz teacher
- 🇰🇪 Thika, Kiambu, Kenya
- Since 1981
- English, Swahili
I play brass band and jazz. I started in 1981 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 16 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I make terrible puns.

What gifts mean to Ochieng: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
