Netsanet Yodit Mekonnen
Oud player and teacher in Jimma
- 🇪🇹 Jimma, Oromia, Ethiopia
- Jimma Holy Cross Quartet
- 2014 to 2025
- English
I play oud and classical. I started in 2014 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 6 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I walk the dog by the river.
More about Netsanet
I wrote my first song when I was 16. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Netsanet: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
