My trade is leatherwork. I opened my own shop in 1995 in Dar es Salaam and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
