Nabirye Grace Temba
Thatching for eight years in Embakasi
- 🇰🇪 Embakasi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Embakasi Repairs
- 2018 to 2025
- English
I've worked in thatching from 2018 to 2025. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 220 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I make terrible puns.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Nabirye: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
