Mwende Tumusiime Kigozi

Youth boxing coach and mentor

  • 🇹🇿 Arusha, Arusha, Tanzania
  • Baobab Boxing Gym
  • Since 1982
  • English
I'm a boxing coach. I never went pro, but I get to see 2,640 kids fall in love with the game. Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.

More about Mwende

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Mwende: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
