I'm a sculpture artist based in Nairobi. I've been making things since 1998 and I still get excited when a new batch of materials arrives.
Most of my work is inspired by the changing seasons. I'm learning the guitar.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Mwende
I've had 8 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to Mwende: A gift would go toward materials for my next series.
