Mussa Mukasa Simiyu

Accordion and gospel teacher

🇹🇿 Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Kinondoni Orchestra
Since 1991
English, Swahili

I'm a musician from Kinondoni. I've toured a little, taught a lot and played at more weddings than I can count. I teach about 11 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Mussa

If you ever danced at one of my shows, I hope it was a good night.

Instruments or styles

Accordion Gospel

What gifts mean to Mussa: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
