For eight years I was the home economics teacher at Crown High School. I taught Grade 4 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 380 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Ms. Kılıç: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
