For 28 years I have been the Spanish teacher at Mount Pleasant High School. I teach teenagers and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,340 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Ms. Alcantara: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
