For 36 years I have been the drama teacher at Istanbul Primary School. I teach Year 7 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Mrs. Yavuz
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Yavuz: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

I was in your Year 7 class in 2000. You believed I could do it before I did. Truly.
