I taught home economics at Crescent Grammar School in Kandy from 1978 to 1996. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I ran the gardening club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I garden badly but happily.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Wijesinghe: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
