Mrs. Silva

Biology and computer science teacher, Negombo

🇱🇰 Negombo, Western, Sri Lanka
Negombo Middle School
Since 1997
English, Sinhala

For 29 years I have been the biology teacher at Negombo Middle School. I teach Year 9 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. Over the years I've had 1,020 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

More about Mrs. Silva

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

Subjects taught

Biology

What gifts mean to Mrs. Silva: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
