I teach special education and religious studies at Baobab Grammar School, Christchurch. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I've had 800 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

If you were in my the youngest children class, you probably remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.

What gifts mean to Mr. Phillips: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
