Mr. Özer
Retired economics teacher from Good Shepherd Primary School

I taught economics at Good Shepherd Primary School in Istanbul from 1990 to 2013. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I never turned anyone away.
I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Mr. Özer
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Özer: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
